Most teams check mobile by making their browser window narrow. That shows the layout. It doesn't show what it's like to use the page with a thumb, a keyboard that covers half the screen, and a price three swipes down.
Here is what to check on a real phone screen.
The mobile checklist
- Tap targets: can you hit every button and link without zooming?
- The main button: can you reach it without scrolling past everything else?
- Price and key facts: are they on the first screen, or buried under the photos?
- Menus: is anything important hidden behind the menu icon?
- Sticky bars and pop-ups: do they cover the thing you're trying to read or tap?
- Forms: does the right keyboard appear (numbers for phone and ZIP)? Does the keyboard hide the Continue button?
- Hover: is anything only visible when you hover? Phones can't hover.
Narrow is not broken
A column that stacks or disappears on a phone is usually the mobile layout working. What matters is whether someone can still find the price, understand the offer and finish the task with one hand.
How a Run does it
Pick mobile when you start a Run. Our panel goes through your page on a phone-sized screen — every button, tab and form — and the Run Sheet pins each problem to the spot on the phone screen where it happened, with the change to make.

Questions people ask
- Is resizing my browser enough to test mobile?
- No. It shows the layout, not what it's like to use the page with a thumb, a keyboard covering half the screen and no hover.
- What breaks most often on mobile?
- Buttons too small to tap, the price buried below the photos, sticky bars covering content, and forms where the keyboard hides the Continue button.
- Can Prior.Run test my site on a phone?
- Yes. Pick mobile when you start a Run, and every finding is pinned to the spot on the phone screen.
- How much does it cost?
- Your first Run is free, with no card. After that, plans are on the pricing page.
