FIG · 01— Working principles · House rules

What drives us.

These aren't aspirations on a wall. They're the rules we actually follow when things get hard. When the deadline pulls one way and the right answer pulls another. When “ship it” would be cheaper than “say what we can't assess.”

FIG · 02

Five rules.

№ 01↳ rule 1

Change altitude, not effort.

If pushing harder isn’t working, you’re asking the wrong question. Step back. Reframe. Progress begins where perspective shifts.

№ 02↳ rule 2

Credibility is built on restraint.

Don’t pretend to know more than you do. Be clear about what’s uncertain, unseen, or unproven. Trust grows where honesty is obvious.

№ 03↳ rule 3

Optimize for thinking, not answers.

Answers solve moments. Principles solve classes of problems. Build what lasts — everything else decays.

№ 04↳ rule 4

Treat limits as temporary artifacts.

“Impossible” is just the current state of knowledge. When a path fails, redesign the path — not the ambition.

№ 05↳ rule 5

Make your ambition slightly irrational.

If it feels safe, it’s too small. Pursue what stretches you past comfort — win or lose, that’s where change happens.

If this is how you think too, you'll fit right in.
